In January 2024, Stefán performed An Incident in Sutton Square, a short chamber opera for solo tenor, as part of the Dominick Argento Chamber Opera Competition finals at the National Opera Association Conference in Tempe, AZ. His performance received high praise from the composer Martin Hennessy and renowned American composer Tom Cipullo, who described it as "stunning."

During the summers of 2024, and 2025 Stefán participated in the Brevard Music Center’s Janiec Opera Company, performing in productions of Viardot’s Cendrillon (Le Comte Barigoule), Donizetti’s L’elisir d’amore, Mozart’s Die Zauberflöte, Puccini’s La Bohème and Weill’s The Threepenny Opera. He also appeared as a soloist in An Evening of Jerome Kern And Friends, led by prominent Broadway music director Andy Einhorn, An Evening of Operetta, and other concerts throughout the festival both summers.

In addition to performing, Stefán has taught private voice lessons, specializing in young queer singers. He also served as the Assistant Artistic Director of Desert Voices, Tucson’s premier LGBTQIA+ chorus before moving to Houston for his masters degree.

In 2024, Desert Voices Chorus premiered Stefán’s choral work Oh How Beautiful the Stars, for which he also wrote the text. The piece was warmly received by both the chorus and its audiences. Stefán continues to develop his compositions—primarily orchestral, operatic, and song repertoire, while focusing on his vocal career.

Stefán’s career reflects a deep commitment to artistic excellence, uniqueness, and inclusivity, both on stage and as an educator and advocate for diversity in the arts.
